This is a description of the work of the Malaysian Centre for Constitutionalism and Human Rights (also known as the Pusat Rakyat LoyarBurok), and my work as a public interest lawyer. In the paper, I seek to explain the motivations of the founders and the strategies we employ in advancing the cause of human rights through a mix of strategic litigation, blogging and voter empowerment programs that ultimately seek to effect social change.
